16 Nov Bill McCutcheon

William (Bill) McCutcheon builder of many International 14s died on 11th November. His son Jamie writes

My father William (Bill) McCutcheon passed away peacefully aged 79 on the 11th November 2012 after battling cancer. He was a UK builder on the Isle of Wight and life long follower of the International 14 class growing up in Cowes knowing Uffa fox and building 14’s for Souters prior to building under his own name and registering many boats both here and overseas for over 20 years. He was a quiet man but so proud that a few of his boats he are still around and being raced in the classic class today. Any talk about 14s would bring a sparkle to his eyes. He even made sure my mother took his I’14 cap to the hospice so he could to wear it.”
