Dear British 14 sailors,

We hope all of you are fine and your family members and loved ones are all safe and healthy.

This year the German International 14 Class Association celebrates its 30th anniversary. The first German Open, hosted by our freshly founded association, took place at lake Wittensee in 1991. And this year, 30 years later, we will meet at the same spot where twin trapezing started in Germany.

German Open International 14 Class

Venue: Wittensee WSCW

Date: Sept. 16th to Sept. 19th

During a well organized and typical German Open party event, we will honor Ralf Meier, our founding chairman, and Jeremy Pudney (postum) for all their great and unforgettable efforts to the German 14 fleet as our two first honorary members.

If you like please have a look at our nomination letter to Jonathan and the link to the German Open with all further information you may need.

We know Covid19 is still around and travel restrictions are far from comfortable. But it goes without saying that it would be very special for the German fleet to welcome some British friends to the German Open 2021 at lake Wittensee, where everything had the beginning. As well, a British entry who could receive the honorary membership on behalf of Jeremy would be a very nice gesture.

If travel restrictions will ease in the next weeks for any reason you can decide to come on short notice! We will pick you up at Hamburg Airport or Billund DK and put you on a German 14!!! No entry fee!!!

Please contact us to help you to organize your trip to Germany. You’re very welcome!!

All the best!

Georg, Moritz and Jens
