Flutter flies again….

Flutter – K1034, a Morrison 1 design has been sitting in a barn in this condition for the past thirty years but has recently undergone a real metomorphasis to allow her to sail once again, hopefully at the Centenary POW in 2027
Flutter sailed at Rickmansworth SC, in NW London – home of one of the biggest inland fleets of Fourteens – for many years before being severely damaged in one of the big storms in the eighties…after languishing in a boatyard, she was saved and dry stored until a suitable, some might say gullible!, new owner could be found to undertake what was going to be an extensive and challenging restoration.
Luckily for this boat, Ned Coackley from North Wales, was indeed tempted and after initially questioning his judgement once he got her home and could see just how much work was required, has undertaken some miraculous work which can be seen below….he is now taking a well earned rest before looking at the final work and fit out this winter…well done Ned 🙂
